Mill Swamp Indian Horse Rules
1. TREAT EVERY HORSE AS IF IT WOULD KICK OR BITE, EVEN IF YOU ARE SURE THAT IT NEVER WILL.2. NO ONE MAY ENTER THE PASTURES WITHOUT SIGNING A RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM.
3. NO ONE MAY RIDE WITHOUT A HELMET AND BOOTS which have heels.
4. EQUESTRIAN VESTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL RIDERS.
5. Except when seeking to catch a horse, do not give sunflowers/treats to a horse while it is in the pasture.
6. BEFORE EACH MOUNTING CHECK GIRTHS FOR TIGHTNESS AND MAKE SURE THAT ALL THREADING IS SECURE.
7. ADJUST STIRRUPS BEFORE MOUNTING.
8. Arrive early enough to catch, saddle, check, and play with your horse before rides begin.
9. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.
10. HELMETS MUST BE WORN WHEN TRAINING A YOUNG HORSE ON THE GROUND.
11. NO USE OF THE ROUND PEN WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION.
12. Unless a parent has contacted me previously to get approval, no one under 18 may be at the little house or in the horse lot without immediate adult supervision.
13. No Smoking on the premises.
14. No one may ride without the express permission of Steve Edwards nor may anyone ride without first signing a release of liability form.
